Hi from Deganwy
Hi everyone,
My name is David and I'm a longtime Mini fan but first time owner, and if anyone read my post last week they'd probably see I'm still getting to grips with Mini ownership!
I live in Deganwy and work as a reporter for the North Wales Weekly News; some of you may have read the report I did on the Wirral - Llandudno Mini Run which I wrote for the paper. My Mini is a Mayfair Automatic which I love to bits - I think it's a fantastic car that's really good fun to drive.
Hopefully I'll be able to put some pics of it on here soon, I've also got quite a few from the Llandudno run itself! I'm also looking forward to getting more involved in the club scene, if there's any events or meetings planned soon I'd be interested to find out more.
I'm looking forward to many months of Mini motoring ahead but until then, it's just good to join the forum...

Hello David
Welcome to FABMOC North Wales, its good to have someone from the press interested in the mini scene it helps to spread the word, why don't you come and join us at our next club meeting, we meet at the Penrhyn Old Hall, Penrhyn Bay on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 7.30 onwards. We are a gathering of like minded people who get together and rattle on about minis and going on runs or to shows, we do not charge membership or subscriptions we tried this and we had someone who ripped us off so we went down this route and it seems to work, if you want to go on one of the runs you just turn up or send off your money on one of the entry forms that I print off for the relevent show or run and that is it. Last year I attended 21 runs including the London to Brighton with 2 other members, and this year it is the big one in Longbridge, Birmingham 50 years of the mini a must one to attend a three day event.
By the way my name is Neil Gavin and I am one of the 2 co-ordinators for FABMOC North Wales the other is Reuben Bebb, so I hope to see you at the next meeting
